But, for some reason, it isn't yet unveiled.
I'm just hoping that we won't see any project delays, caused by Andy Palmer's switch to Aston Martin.

It was announced last month that Nissan would launch the car on December 8, in Florida.

could it be vongfong?

What? How did I miss that piece of information and why is Nissan wasting the opportunity to steal the show, in Toyota's back yard?

Yup. Well, since the car is being built and developed in the US, it might explain why. Announce, thrash around Sebring, press release, test again.

Soooo... Is this a Prototype or a GTE?

P1, but they keep the GT-R name for marketing purposes(or because the car will also use a V6, like the GT-R(we will see, Nissan is safeguarding the specs. of the car, like you wouldn't believe)).

I Googled it and found it was a P1. Imagine if Nissan got a wild hair and made a prototype-esque GTE road car. It'd be like the good old days of GT racing.

Well, a little thing called "book of rules and regulations", prevents them from doing.

Well... I think they only need to produce 100 or so of them.

I think the current FIA rule requires like 2500 minimum but I could be wrong. It's to prevent another CLK-GTR/911 GT1/R390/TS010 cluster-f***.

That's what I thought, but Wikipedia says 100 for big manufacturers and 50 for small. And Wikipedia couldn't possibly be wrong.

So those 3 could actually race and ruin the day for some of the slower P2 cars?

Eh, obviously not. Damn you, Wikipedia.
But on a serious note, why not? The best production cars in the world don't have a racing series. They need one.

I will never forgive Jaguar. They had the chance to be the first member of that club, but they blew it away.

Nissan has already said that it's not front engined.
